My Story
Amy Gray - Director/teacher
Amy Gray is the owner/director of Lil’ Melodies, Founder of Marvelous Max, mother to a tribe of 3 and wife to Scott.
Amy is a regular mum, creative and hippy at heart who loves the ocean and almost always has a messy house! Most days she is just keeping it together and the way she manages to do it, is with a piano and ukulele. Amy has always had a strong passion for music. She started to learn the piano from around 4 with her Nan and has been playing and composing music for over 20 years.
Since 2012, Lil' Melodies has been providing quality inclusive music and movement programs for hundreds of children per term, regardless of background and ability. Amy's strong passion for connecting people with music has now also created pathways for people without a music background to learn to play and self-express in a non-formal environment through her ukulele & keyboard programs, creative camps & adult workshops. In 2019, Amy became a registered sound therapist and in 2021, a licensed Kinder Beat Piano Prep provider.
Lil’ Melodies has been recognised and awarded Top Program in Early Childhood Music Education by Kindermusik International for the last 7 years. In 2019 Lil’ Melodies was also named Kindermusik Brand Ambassador - Australia.
The Kindermusik Top Program award recognises excellence in teaching, building an expansive program and reaching many families in the community with music and early childhood music education.
Amy believes music education should be accessible to all. “I love music and I love sharing it with our community. Those little smiles that bounce in each week makes my heart smile. I want to give our families a unique experience that allows them to bond and enjoy time together”.
